MMDA lifts number coding on Independence Day

Number coding is lifted today, Monday, as the country celebrates Independence Day, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.

On Twitter, MMDA posted a media advisory announcing the lifting of number coding in Metro Manila.

“The Number Coding is lifted today, June 12, 2017 (Independence Day),” MMDA tweeted.

Motorists with licensed plate ending in 1 and 2 are allowed to go out on the road today.

The MMDA also advised the public to take alternate routes in areas where celebrations are being held, especially at the Bonifacio Monument Circle where it was ordered close to traffic from 12 midnight to 10 a.m. today. JPV/rga
