TACLOBAN CITY – Two Indonesian fishermen are recuperating at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center here after being rescued in the Pacific Ocean last week.

They were brought to the hospital on Friday afternoon by the crew members of Tacloban-based FB Jojols Maze II, said Commodore Lawrence Roque, Coast Guard Eastern Visayas spokesman.

Since the two could not speak English, Roque said it could not be determine when their fishing boat sank.

The crew of FB Jojols Maze II decided to bring the Indonesians back to their port in Tacloban instead of Samar, even if it was closer to the Pacific Ocean because they didn’t know anyone in the province.
