/ 02:41 AM June 09, 2017

Today, June 9, is the 149th birth anniversary of pharmacist and revolutionary leader Feliciano Jocson. Born in Quiapo, Manila, in 1868, Jocson was one of the organizers of the Katipunan. He earned his degree in pharmacy from the University of Sto. Tomas and in 1897, he established his own pharmaceutical shop in Escolta, Manila, which became a secret meeting place of members of the Katipunan. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
