DAGUPAN CITY — A 34-year-old farmer has drowned in the waters off Agno town in Pangasinan province, police said.
Jonathan Doredo, a resident of Barangay (village) Macabit in neighboring Bani town, had drunk several bottles of gin at the shores of Barangay Boboy in Agno when he decided to plunge into the water to swim at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday (June 4).
Investigators said Doredo might have been swept by strong current and drowned. Doredo was taken to the Agno Health Office but a doctor there declared him dead on arrival. SFM/rga
