PCA exec shot dead in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — The provincial head of the Philippine Coconut Authority in Batangas was gunned down in an ambush by motorcycle-riding gunmen early morning Tuesday along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay (village) Isabang, this city, said Superintendent Ramon Balauag, Lucena police chief.

The victim, Necitas Pujanes, a resident of this city, was on his way to his office in Batangas driving a government-issued pick up  at around 8 a.m.when the suspects fired, causing his vehicle to slam on the side of the road.

Pujanes died instantly from two to three bullet wounds,said Balauag.

Balauag said the suspects escaped toward  Sariaya town.
