70-year-old farmer, carabao killed by lightning in Isabela

CAUAYAN CITY—A 70-year-old farmer and his carabao died after they were struck by lightning in San Agustin town in Isabela province on Friday (June 2).

Lorenzo Pedro, 70, was riding the carabao home, with his nephew, when a thunderstorm broke out and they were struck by lightning, said their relative, municipal councilor Eddie Mayor. The nephew, whose name had not been released, survived with minor burns, he said.
