2 killed in Pangasinan accidents

DAGUPAN CITY — Two men have died in two separate road accidents in Pangasinan province, the police reported.

Emilio Navarro, 79, was crossing the Urdaneta-Dagupan Road in Barangay (village) Bued in Calasiao town at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, when he was hit by a truck.

Navarro was taken to a hospital in Dagupan City, where he died. The truck driver, Jimmy Laudencia, 36, is now facing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

In San Jacinto town, Ryan Bustamante was on his way home when his motorcycle collided with a bicycle in Barangay Lobong at 8:15 p.m.

Bustamante was thrown off his motorcycle and was taken to a hospital in Dagupan City but he did not make it there alive.

The bicycle driver, Bernardo Barrozo, 40, also suffered injuries and he is now being treated in a hospital in Mapandan town. SFM
