Ramgen Bautista’s girlfriend undergoes second operation
Janelle Carren Manahan, 22, the girlfriend of slain Ramgen Bautista, underwent a second operation to fix four facial fractures, according to the Parañaque City police.
The police added a security detail for Manahan because she was an eyewitness to the crime, said Task Force Ramgen head Chief Inspector Enrique Sy.
“We hope for her fast recovery as we piece together all the evidence and testimonies of witnesses on what really happened that night,” said Sy.
Manahan’s operation, conducted by a team of six doctors, started at 7 a.m. and ended after six hours, according to her father, Julius, in a radio interview.
Janelle sustained a gunshot wound on her face below the right eye and the bullet exited through the neck.
Manahan said Janelle would not be able to speak after six to eight weeks.
