Thieves drive off with generator set
How conspicuous could it be to steal a bulky generator set from a building parking lot?
A group of thieves managed to drive off on Monday with one such generator set worth P800,000 using an Isuzu elf truck as getaway vehicle.
Supt. Alfredo Masculino Calama-an, deputy police chief of Pasig, said Lina Villalon, the owner of West Hills Building on Marcos Highway in Barangay Dela Paz, Pasig City, reported the theft that took place around 4:30 a.m.
At that time, the building’s guard discovered that the building’s generator placed at the parking lot in front of the building was missing.
Residents told investigators that they saw a group of men tie the wheeled generator set to the rear-end of the elf truck and towed it away.
Curiously, the generator set has the size of a small truck making the heist so obvious to anyone at the scene, Calama-an said.

“We are still following up the case. We are not discounting the possibility that security guard had any involvement,” Calama-an said.
