The Pasay Hall of Justice was temporarily closed to public on Monday following a bomb threat received by a court employee over the phone.
A staff from the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 209 received the phone call around 12 noon.
The staff said the male caller told him that there was a bomb buried under a pile of wood in the hallway.
“Sabi po nung lalaki may binaon silang bomba sa patong patong na kahoy sa hallway (The man on the phone said they buried a bomb underneath a pile of wood at the hallway),” the staff who requested not to be identified said in a phone interview.
The call was immediately reported to the Clerk of Court and to the security guards on duty. All employees were later led out of the building to ensure safety.
After 30 minutes of sifting through the area, responding policemen declared the court premises negative of any explosives. JPV/rga
