Rosquillos Festival
A celebration in Liloan, Cebu province, the home of the famous delicacy rosquillos created by Margarita “Titay” Francisco in 1907. The cookie was named by then Cebu Gov. Sergio Osmeña after the Spanish word “rosca” or ringlet.

Sangyaw Festival
The rich cultural and religious heritage of Tacloban City in Leyte province is showcased in the festival. Sangyaw, which means “to announce news,” also pays homage to the city’s patron, Sto. Niño de Tacloban. A parade of lights culminates the festivities.

Hinulawan Festival
The mining city of Toledo in Cebu province used to be named Hinulawan, a contraction of two Visayan words—hinaguang bulawan—or hard-earned gold. The festival is highlighted by the street dancing competition, where cultural dances of different periods are featured.
