PNP to wait for murder raps to be filed vs Ramona before contacting Interpol

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police will wait for the Parañaque Prosecutor’s Office to file a murder charge against Ramona Bautista for the killing of her brother Ramgen Bautista (a.k.a Ram Revilla) before they contact Interpol, according to PNP spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr.

Reacting to Senator Ramon Revilla Jr.’s call on the PNP to bring his half-sister back to the country, Cruz said on Monday that at this time, they had no basis to seek Interpol’s assistance.

“We have to let the law take its course. We have to wait for the prosecutor’s resolution first and take action accordingly,” Cruz said.

“There is no basis (to coordinate with Interpol. The prosecutor’s) resolution is the key to further actions,” he added.
