MANILA, Philippines—An additional lawyer-police officer will be included in Task Force Ramgen on Tuesday to help out with legal issues concerning the investigation of Ramgen Bautista’s murder, Paranaque Police Chief Billy Beltran said Monday.
Beltran said that the lawyer-cop from the Southern Police District (SPD) will be introduced to the public on Tuesday, coinciding with the start of the Paranaque City Prosecutor’s Office’s preliminary investigation on Bautista’s case.
“Since naipasa na namin ang aming imbestigasyon sa piskalya, siya naman ang hahawak sa mga iba pang aspeto ng kaso (Since we passed on the investigation to the fiscal’s office, he will be the one who will handle other aspects of the case),” Beltran said in a phone interview.
Beltran said that they are now just waiting for the SPD’s deployed police officer.
Ramgen Bautista who goes by screen name Ramgen Revilla, was stabbed to death by two masked men who are among the seven suspects allegedly involved in the attack.
Ramgen died on the spot while his girlfriend Janelle Manahan was badly wounded in the Revilla home in Paranaque City last October 28.
