Pangasinan lensman shoots 64-yr-old man
DAGUPAN CITY , Pangasinan— A local news photographer allegedly shot and injured on Tuesday (May 23) a 64-year-old man in Rosales town in Pangasinan province after a heated argument.
Conrado Bactad, 59, who is associated with weekly newspapers Regional Examiner and Northwest Sun, fired at Aurelio Coloma during a confrontation when Coloma and four other men began constructing a perimeter fence around his property in Barangay (village) San Pedro West.
Bactad fled after the shooting, according to Chief Insp. Ador Tayag, Rosales police chief.
Coloma was taken to a hospital in Barangay Carmen West, and is now in a stable condition.
Tayag said Bactad was armed with a .22 caliber Magnum pistol when he argued with Coloma at 3:10 p.m. for constructing the perimeter fence beyond their lots’ common boundary.
Tayag said that a manhunt operation has been launched for Bactad.
