Ex-bodyguard of Bataan dev’t agency chief slain in Balanga
BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The former bodyguard and driver of the current head of the Bataan development agency was shot dead at noon on Monday (May 22) in Barangay (village) Poblacion here.
Crispin Artuz, 54, a utility worker who used to be employed by former Pilar, Bataan mayor Carlos Pizarro, Jr., was driving his tricycle home when he was attacked by two men riding a motorcycle.
Artuz was shot in the head, and chest and was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, said Chief Insp. Jenny Cruz, Bataan police spokesperson.
Former mayor Pizarro now serves as general manager of the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA). SFM
