P100,000 reward offered for Surigao del Sur official’s killers

TAGUM CITY – Local officials have put up a P100,000 reward for the capture of five assailants who shot and killed a provincial official of Surigao del Sur early Sunday.

Gov. Johnny Pimentel said he also directed the police to thoroughly investigate and bring to justice those behind the murder of Surigao del Sur 2nd district Board member Rafael Viduya.

The 58-year old Viduya had just attended mass at the St. Joseph the Worker parish in San Roque village, in Bislig City when he was attacked at around 10 a.m., Superintendent Ronilo Jauregue, city police chief told the Inquirer.
