Ram Revilla’s girlfriend undergoes surgery

MANILA, Philippines – Janelle Manahan, the girlfriend of Ramgen Bautista, is undergoing surgery for facial fractures at the Asian Hospital in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, a 990AM report said Monday.

The operation, which started at around 7 a.m., would take around five to six hours, the report quoted Manahan’s father Julius as saying.

Manahan suffered four facial fractures during the October 28 attack in her boyfriend’s home in Parañaque City, the report said.

Manahan’s father also said that he has not seen any member of Ramgen’s family at the hospital where Janelle was being treated.

Last week, authorities said that security was tightened for Manahan after she issued a statement to police and tagged Ramgen’s younger sister Ma. Ramona Bautista to the crime.

The Department of Justice on Monday said that it is considering placing Ramona on the Interpol’s red notice list after she left the country Friday.

Her half-brother, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. believes that she has flown to Turkey to join her husband.
