A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The quake, located at 168 kilometers southeast of Tarragona as its epicenter, was recorded at 1:03 p.m.
The tremor was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 14 kilometers.
