DAGUPAN CITY — A La Union policeman shot dead two men and injured another on Wednesday (May 17) in San Fernando City following a dispute, police said.
PO1 Ricardo Rillo, assigned at the San Fernando City police station, allegedly killed Willy Fernando and Joseph Balanag at 9:30 p.m. in Barangay (village) Santiago Sur.
Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado Jr., La Union police spokesperson, said Rillo had a heated argument with Fernando and Balanag hours before the shooting.
Ordinado said Rillo sought out the victims in the village on Wednesday night and shot them.
Injured during the shooting was Christian Fernando, 23, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Rillo fled after the shooting but was arrested a few hours later. SFM/rga
