MAN FOUND DEAD IN DAANBANTAYAN
THE body of a 49-year-old man was found floating in the waters off barangay Maya, Daanbantayan town, northern Cebu, last Saturday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as Rustico Buangjug.
Buangjug’s wife, Cresilda, told police that her husband left early in the morning to go fishing.
The wife said her husband had a heart condition.
The man was found floating by fishermen Rudy Manatad and Fernando Velasco.

JEWELRY WORTH P37T STOLEN
ASSORTED jewelry worth at least P37,000 were stolen by thieves who ransacked the house of a call center worker in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
Jia Christie Caneos, team manager of JP Morgan Chase, was at work when burglars struck last Saturday morning.
Police said the burglars entered the house through the window at the second floor.
Lost were three gold bracelets, two rings, a set of pearl earrings and another set of diamond earrings, a ring and a necklace.

DEAD MAN IN CEBU CITY
A MAN was found dead in a sidewalk in barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City early morning yesterday.
Police said the man, who was identified only as Caloy, had no external injuries that may indicate that there was foul play in his death.
Police said the man was found sitting at the sidewalk around 5 a.m. The man was no longer breathing when some people in the area checked on him an hour later.
Paramedics from the Emergency Response Unit Foundation tried to revive the man to no avail.
