Nlex faces PC gilmore
THE NLEX Road Warriors open up their campaign in the PBA D-League Aspirant’s Cup when they take on the PC Gilmore Wizards today at the University of Asia gym.
The Road Warriors expect hard sailing as they have yet to practice with a complete line up because
five of their key players are training with the Philippine Team that will compete this month in the Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia.
“I cant even have a full scrimmage during practice because I’m saving the legs of my players who are practicing with the national team,” said head coach Boyet Fernandez, referring to Ryan Garcia, Eman Monfort, Cliff Hodge, Chris Ellis and Garvo Lanete.
In the other game, Freego Jeans aims for a second straight win in as many games when it battles Boracay Rum at 4 p.m.
The Waves are seeking a followup to its 65-46 victory against Café France last week after losing their opening game against Blackwater.
