DID YOU KNOW: Board of Travel and Tourist Industry

In 1956, the Board of Travel and Tourist Industry was created by law. On May 11, 1973, Presidential Decree No. 189 organized the Ministry of Tourism, the predecessor of the Department of Tourism (DOT). On Jan. 30, 1987, the ministry was reorganized and changed into a department by virtue of Executive Order No. 120. The DOT currently holds office on Sen.
