Most people wouldn’t be able to crack a smile while stuck in a tricky situation, but one toddler literally laughed in the face of danger.
One-year-old Brandon Green from Cornwall, England, accidentally locked himself inside a car over the weekend.
According to his petrified mother, Kirsty Green, she briefly left her son in the backseat of the car to load her recently purchased groceries in the trunk. In the process, she accidentally placed the keys in the trunk as well, Metro News reported.
Much to her horror, Brandon activated the car’s central locking system and shut himself in. Panicking, she sought the help of the grocery staff and the Bude Community Fire Station.
The crew used hand tools in an attempt to rescue the toddler, but resorted to a more aggressive approach when they noticed that Brandon had a two-pence coin in his mouth.
Luckily, they were able to rescue the boy completely unharmed by electing to smash a rear view window.
As seen in a photo later shared by Green on Facebook, the oblivious toddler exchanged smiles with the firefighters.
Kirsty expressed her gratitude to his son’s rescuers. “Thank you to the amazing guys who rescued my cheeky monkey after locking himself in the car today at Bude Lidl!! He was clearly traumatised by the whole ordeal,” she sarcastically captioned her post. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
