The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Wednesday advised motorists that it will resume its weekend road repair and reblocking on eight road sections in the cities of Quezon, Makati, Pasig, and Valenzuela.

DPWH-National Capital Region director Melvin Navarro said repairs will be undertaken starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, at the second lane, southbound direction of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue from Roosevelt Avenue to Quezon Avenue in Quezon City; along southbound direction of C5 before Lanuza Avenue, Pasig City and from Makati/Pasig Boundary to Commando Link, Makati City.

Reblocking will similarly cover the second lane, northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue from Old Sauyo Road to Mindanao Tunnel; fifth lane, northbound direction of Commonwealth Avenue before Litex Road; and second lane, northbound direction of Quirino Highway from Mindanao Avenue to Bernardino Street.

The first lane, northbound direction of Congressional Avenue from Luzon Avenue to Visayas Avenue in Quezon City will likewise be repaired over the weekend.

Intermittent section of McArthur Highway, northbound direction from Cayetano Street to China Bank in Valenzuela City will also be repaired.

Navarro said one day-curing concrete mix will be used for the repair works, hence roads will open at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 1.
