Unicorns, the mythical horse-like beasts with magnificent horns, have been popular figures as of late.
Whether these creatures may or may have not roamed the Earth, a group of Icelandic farmers claims to have discovered one—hiding in their flock of sheep.
Social media was once again ablaze, this time, over a photo of a sheep whose two horns are fused together, making one extremely wide horn.
The ram named ”Einhyrningur” (which translates to Unicorn) is owned by husband and wife farmers, Bjarni Bjarnason and Erla Porey Olafsdottir, according to the BBC.
“The horns stretch his face, particularly around the eyes so he always seems to be a bit surprised. He kind of looks like people that have had a facelift,” Erla said, adding that the ram’s horns split toward the top.
Due to his unusual look, Einhyrningur has also been often picked on by other sheep, the report said.
Although the couple has found a liking to the peculiar-looking animal, his built is not good for breeding and the sheep will not be able to stay in the farm much longer.
Still, the nearby Reykjavik Zoo in Iceland has agreed to house the special sheep and maybe showcase its horn to potential visitors. Khristian Ibarrola/JB
