A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted inside the Philippine area of responsibility but will not affect the country, which will have a generally fair weather on Wednesday.

The LPA that was last spotted 275 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan, is not likely intensify into a cyclone, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Except for isolated rainshowers, the country will have generally fair weather due to a high pressure area extending across Luzon and the Visayas, and the easterlies affecting Mindanao.

There will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, Pagasa said.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao, it added.

There will be slight to moderate coastal eaters throughout the archipelago. CBB
