In an advisory posted on its social media pages, the MMDA said the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) is lifted today except in Makati, Las Piñas, and Pasig which follow their own number coding scheme.

The MMDA earlier suspended the number coding scheme starting Holy Wednesday in observance of the Holy Week. The extension would give way to travelers who would go back to the metropolis from the provinces from the Lenten break.

Under the UVVRP, vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 are banned on the road on Monday; 3 and 4 on Tuesday; 5 and 6 on Wednesday; 7 and 8 on Thursday; and 9 and 0 on Friday. JE/rga
