The low pressure area (LPA) that was formerly tropical depression “Crising” will continue to bring rain in some parts of the Visayas and Southern Luzon, the weather bureau said Sunday.

In its 11 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA was last plotted at 70 kilometers East northeast of Iloilo city, Iloilo.

It was expected to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rain and thunderstorms over northern Cebu, Northern Negros island, Capiz, Aklan, Romblon, Masbate and Mindoro, Pagasa said.

“Crising” weakened into an LPA overnight after making landfall over Samar on Black Saturday, stranding about 4,500 passengers and 400 sea vessels   in the Bicol and the Visayas regions.

“The public and the disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to take the necessary precautionary measures,” Pagasa added. CBB/rga
