CITY OF MALOLOS – The flow of traffic along the North Luzon Expressway remained normal on Wednesday afternoon as motorists start their trek towards northern and central Luzon for the Holy Week break, according to the NLEx traffic control system.
At press time, an average of 15-20 vehicles have lined up at most of the toll booths in the Balintawak Toll Plaza and the Mindanao Avenue Plaza.
There used to be a heavier traffic flow here in previous Holy Week breaks, according to NLEx operators. NLEx said some families may have traveled earlier this week or were planning to drive late Wednesday or early Thursday morning instead.
As many as 800 tellers, 500 patrolmen and 68 patrol vehicles have been deployed to serve Holy Week motorists. JE
