Courts to close early on Holy Wednesday

Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has authorized half-day work on Wednesday for all courts nationwide.

“This is to allow court personnel to more fully observe the Holy Week,” the high court said in a statement.

Court operation will be from 8 a.m. to 12 noon unless other internal schedules apply.

Maundy Thursday (April 13) and Good Friday (April 14) are regular holidays in the Philippines while Black Saturday (April 15) is a special nonworking holiday. CBB/rga
