LOS BAÑOS, Laguna–Classes in all levels were suspended Wednesday in Laguna province following the magnitude 5.4 earthquake that rocked areas of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon (Calabarzon) and
parts of Metro Manila Tuesday night.

Governor Ramil Hernandez announced on his Facebook page Tuesday night the suspension of classes in all levels, public and private, and called on all school administrators and engineers to initiate building inspections in their areas to assess the damage done by the earthquake.

Following the governor’s announcement, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) also announced on its Facebook page Tuesday night the suspension of classes on Wednesday to make way for building inspections.  SFM
