The Philippine Army expressed its gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte for his support for the welfare of the troops and their families.
“Marami pong salamat sa kalinga, malasakit at suporta na patuloy ninyong ibinibigay sa ating kasundaluhan at sa kanilang pamilya,” Army chief Lt. Gen. Glorioso Miranda said in his speech at the 120th anniversary of the Philippine Army held in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Tuesday.
He also thanked the President for visiting the camps to boost the morale of the soldiers and to visit wounded troops.
Miranda also handed Duterte a set of Army battle dress uniform as a token for his support to the unit.
The Army’s sergeant major also gifted Duterte with a “canteen cup” for his support to the troops.
