Minor caught selling ‘shabu’ in Baguio drug bust

BAGUIO CITY — A 17-year-old boy was caught selling a heat-sealed sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Sunday afternoon.

The boy works as a mobile telephone technician, according to the PDEA. He allegedly sold shabu with an estimated market value of P12,500 in Irisan village.

He has been detained at the jail facility of the PDEA Cordillera office pending charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 (the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Earlier on Saturday near the Baguio city market, PDEA agents caught Mohaimen Ali, 29, and Rudy Sultan, 63, for selling P27,500 worth of suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

They have been detained at the Baguio City jail pending drug peddling charges. JE/rga
