Trader survives 3rd slay try
CEBU CITY—A businessman here survived a third attempt on his life yesterday, and is recuperating from gunshot wounds.
Police said Kenneth Teo was in his water refilling station at the Capitol Site here when a gunman came and shot him twice, wounding him in the chest and neck.
Police said the gunman fled in a motorcycle, the most common getaway vehicle used by criminals nowadays. The gunman was seen with a companion who served as a lookout.
Police quoted witnesses as saying they saw the gunman eating bananas at a store near Teo’s water refilling station before he attacked the businessman.
The first attempt on Teo’s life was on Nov. 12, 2010, when Teo was shot outside his dried fish store in Taboan Market here. He was not hit that time.
On Dec. 10, 2010, Teo was again shot and wounded also by motorcycle-riding men.
