Quirino town councilor found dead

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A town councilor was found dead on Wednesday morning (March 29) in Cabarroguis town in Quirino province.

The remains of Alberto Binlayan, 47, Cabarroguis town councilor, bore multiple gunshot wounds, nearly 12 hours after neighbors heard shots ring out from the victim’s compound in Zamora village.

Policemen rushed to the scene after being alerted of the killing, and discovered Binlayan’s body in his garage, beside his Nissan Fuego minivan.
