Batangas couple nabbed in shabu buy-bust

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — A man tagged as the fifth most wanted drug suspect in Batangas City was arrested with his wife in a buy-bust operation, police said Tuesday.

A report from the Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon (Calabarzon) police stated that suspects Celistino and Fe Balmes of Barangay (village) Wawa were arrested as they tried to sell “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to undercover policemen around 1 p.m. on Monday.

Celistino ranked fifth in the Batangas City police’s list of most wanted crime suspects.

The police recovered three sachets of suspected illegal drugs from the suspects.  SFM/rga
