Most parts of the country will have warm weather on Monday due to the easterlies — the hot and humid winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean.
It is not officially the summer season, however, as the northeast monsoon, or hanging amihan, still blows over Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.
The weather bureau said last week that the onset of dry season may start this week.

“Cloudy skies with isolated light rains (are) expected over Cagayan Valley region,” Pagasa said.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain will be experienced over the regions of Cordillera and Ilocos, it added.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
A heat index of 35.9 degrees is forecast over Metro Manila. It is the temperature felt by the body based on air temperature and humidity and not the actual temperature. CBB/rga
