The National Capital Region Police Office has sworn in Friday 862 new police recruits in a simple oath-taking ceremony at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City.
NCRPO chief PDir Alan Purisima administered the oath to the new recruits who will soon undergo the strenuous six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course to be followed by another six-month Field Training Program under the NCR Training School.
The new batch of recruits is composed of 155 females and 707 males.
The applicants were screened through the regular attrition quotas, Purisima said. A total of 313 passed the regular quota and 549 made it under the attrition quota.
Purisima congratulated the new recruits and welcomed them into the PNP organization and to NCRPO in particular. “They are indeed a big boost to our organization,” he said in a statement.
