COTABATO CITY, Philippines – At least five Moro rebels were killed and three other people, including a village chief, were injured in a clash with militiamen in Tulunan, North Cotabato, the police said Friday.
Senior Supterintendent Cornelio Salinas, North Cotabato police director, said militiamen led by New Bunawan village chair Hermogenes Obrigue were patrolling around 4:30 p.m. Thursday when they clashed with Moro Islamic Liberation Front rebels.
