Ani Festival
A celebration of harvest in the town of Dingras, known as the rice granary of Ilocos Norte province. Locals honor the work of farmers in different festivities such as an agro-industrial fair, indigenous dance parade, a choir competition, staging of “Komedya Ilokana” and a food festival.

Kapaw Festival
The town of Basay, the fishing capital of Negros Oriental province, showcases its abundant catch of fish in a series of festivities. The importance of marine conservation is also highlighted in the festival.

Article continues after this advertisementA portmanteau of “suli,” a Mangyan term for banana, and “niyog” or coconut, Sulyog is a festival in the town of Bongabong in Oriental Mindoro province. Performers in a street dance enact the process of harvesting, sorting and offering of coconut and bananas.
