3 dead, 36 hurt in Kalinga jeep crash

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela—Three people died and 36 were hurt on Saturday when their jeepney turned over on a national road in Tabuk City in Kalinga province.

Irene Mayaoyao, Vandam Mayaoyao and Hero Wackisin, all of Tanudan town in Kalinga, died instantly. One of them was pinned by the jeepney driven by Ramos Mayaoyao, who, police said, lost control of the vehicle as it traveled downhill in Barangay (village) Cudal.

The injured passengers were taken to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital and the Almora Medical Center.
