Tire firm supervisor killed in Clark Freeport mishap

CLARK FREEPORT — A supervisor at the Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. here met a fatal accident on Thursday (March 9).

Raymond Rillera’s head was crushed between the fence and a tire cutter in an area in the factory called SSL2 at around 10 a.m.

YTPI stopped all machine operations because of the mishap.

Noel Manankil, president and chief operating officer of the Clark Development Corp. has asked the Department of Labor amd Employment to investigate whether or not safety protocols were observed in the plant, which is the largest outside of Japan. /atm
