2 die in bus, motorcycle collision in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay — A motorcycle driver and his back rider died after their vehicle collided with a passenger bus along Maharlika Highway in Sta. Teresita village in Baao town in Camarines Sur province.

Senior Inspector Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police information officer, said victims Ronnie, 26, and Norjay, 16, both surnamed Breboneria and residents of Barangay Sta. Teresita, were on board their motorcycle when they collided head-on with an overtaking Amihan bus being driven by Chrisencio Gago, 31, running in the opposite direction, around 8 p.m., Wednesday.  It was not immediately known if the victims were related to each other.

Gago is a resident of Barangay Malangcao-Basud in Labo town, Camarines Norte, according to the police.

The driver of motorcycle was declared dead on the spot while the back rider died while being taken to Bicol Medical Center in Naga City.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

It was not immediately known if the victims were related to each other.

The bus driver was arrested and detained at the Baao muncipal police station.  SFM
