Suspected lady drug pusher shoots, hurts self in Albay hotel

TABACO CITY — A woman suspected of being a drug pusher shot and wounded herself while inside a lodge in Tabaco City in Albay province Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Inspector Arthur Gomez, Albay police spokesperson, said the drug suspect, Jessa Oliva, a native of Lagonoy town in Camarines Sur but presently residing at Barangay (village) 4 in Malilipot town, also in Albay, and her boyfriend Dennis Colada, resident of Sto. Cristo village in Tabaco City, were inside Mitos Lodge when the shooting happened at around 8:20 a.m.

Oliva sustained a gunshot wound in the right portion of her abdomen from a bullet of an unlicensed.38 super pistol. She was brought to the Dr. Armando D. Cope Memorial Hospital in Tabaco City center but was immediately transferred to the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital in Daraga town for medical treatment.

Three plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were found in her bag while she was undergoing treatment at the hospital, Gomez said.

The victim’s boyfriend Colada was arrested and during a body search, yielded a sachet of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia and cash amounting to about P20,000.  SFM
