10 nabbed on drugs, firearms raps in Quezon operations
LUCENA CITY — Police operatives in Quezon province have arrested 10 people for illegal drug pushing and illegal possession of firearms in separate operations since last week.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon provincial police director, said policemen in Lucena City arrested Roger Herrera, 46, after he sold a plastic sachet of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to one of their assets in Barangay Kanlurang Mayao at 11 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect yielded an estimated P1,700 worth of shabu.
In Calauag town, policemen arrested Joel Abulencia, 30, after he was found carrying two small plastic packs of shabu worth P750 at 3:30 a.m. Monday.
On March 4, Lucena policemen arrested Romualdo Villanueva, 43, who yielded seven grams of shabu worth P13,000 in Barangay Ilayang Iyam.

On March 2, Lucena policemen also arrested seven drug suspects while they were having a pot session inside a parked vehicle in Barangay Dalahican at 2 p.m.
Police seized two plastic sachets or 7 grams of shabu worth P13,000, drug paraphernalia and two digital weighing scales from the vehicle.
Three lawmen also confiscated an unlicensed .45-pistol loaded with 10 bullets, a hand grenade and a loaded shotgun from the suspects. SFM/rga
