CEBU CITY—Nine Koreans have been arrested and detained by police after they were caught in the company of young women, who are allegedly trafficking victims.

Jongnam Ham, Munsu Lee, Joontae Kim, Dongkil Kim, Jong In-han, Hosik Park, Jae Gyu-kim, Namgyun Shin and Byeonghae Park were held at the stockade of the National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas at the Capitol pending the filing of charges.

They face criminal cases for violating Section 11 of Republic Act No. 10364, or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012, which prohibits the patronage of sexual or other services by “trafficked persons.”
