Holdup man killed by antinarcotic cop in QC
A holdup man died after a policeman shot him dead in Quezon City early Sunday morning.
The suspect, still unidentified at press time, had just alighted from a jeepney after robbing a victim when the policeman chanced upon him.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. on Elliptical Road corner East Avenue, according to a report to Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director.
SPO1 Aires Dio of the QCPD district drug enforcement unit was on a motorcycle when he spotted the holdup man and identified himself as a policeman.
The suspect, however, pulled out a knife and attacked him, prompting the lawman to shoot. —Jodee A. Agoncillo
