A taxi driver in Manila is now in hot water after two teenage girls filed charges of molestation against him.
Benjamin “Jimbo” Aguilar Jr., 34, is now facing complaints of acts of lasciviousness and robbery after the two girls, aged 14 and 16, reported to Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim Thursday that Aguilar took them to two motels and robbed them on October 31.
The suspect, however, told police the money in question was actually payment for sexual services supposed to be given by the girls but which he was taking back because they never delivered, according to Marlyn Siglos of the city’s Media Bureau.
The girls said they were waiting for a cab along Escolta and happened to flag Aguilar’s vehicle. Instead of bringing them to their home in Tondo, the girls claimed Aguilar drove to a motel in Sta. Mesa.
Refused at the first motel because the girls were minors, Aguilar checked in at another motel where he told the girls to undress.
When the girls refused to do so, Aguilar decided to leave. The driver then dropped off the girls in Galas, Quezon City, but not before taking P1,500 from them.
Before he could drive away, however, a Quezon City police patrol car responded to the girls’ shouts saying they were robbed, leading to Aguilar’s arrest.
The suspect refused to make a comment when presented to the media by Lim.
The Quezon City police also filed complaints of robbery and for using somebody else’s driver’s license against Aguilar.
