CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has shut down a drug den operating inside a housing resettlement site, and detained five suspects and a 17-year-old boy.
The Friday (March 3) raid in Northville 14 in Barangay (village) Calulut led to the arrest of Ligorio Cuano, 26; Jenalyn Morales, 34; Ronne Pangilinan, 36; Clarissa Gaza, 20; and Cielovon Comomo, 28.
They were allegedly engaged in a pot session when PDEA operatives swooped down on the place, wielding a search warrant, according to Juvenal Azurin, PDEA director in Central Luzon.
Azurin said the drug den earns P10,000 daily. Agents recovered 25 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) valued at P120,000.00 and other drug paraphernalia.
The name of the suspected operator was not disclosed.
The boy, who tested negative for illegal drugs, was turned over to the city social welfare office.
The suspects have been detained at the PDEA jail inside the regional police headquarters in Camp Olivas here.
This was the fourth drug den dismantled by the PDEA in Northville 14 since December last year.
