Senator Leila de Lima’s camp is planning to go to the Supreme Court to question the arrest order issued against her by the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court.
Since they could no longer stop her arrest, De Lima’s lawyer, Alex Padilla, said their next option is to bring the case before the higher court.
“HIndi na mapipigilan yun (arrest). Sabi naman nya (De Lima) susunod naman sya,” Padilla told reporters before he went to the senator’s office Friday morning.
(It cannot be stopped. De Lima already said she will obey the warrant.)
De Lima’s lawyers would go first to the Muntinlupa court this Friday morning for a scheduled hearing on a motion to quash they filed before it.
“And we might go to higher court later on with regards to this particular judgment,” Padilla said. CDG
